First and foremost, I would like to begin this theory by suggesting that it is impossible to travel to the past. There are just far too many chances for a paradox to occur. (Though traveling back in time does make some cool movies.)

Anyway, it is only possible in reality to travel to the future. There is a catch to this though. Once in the future, it is impossible to travel back to where you came from because that point in time is now in the past. In short, when you travel to the future, you're stuck there.
