Topic: #1- Sci-Fi Summer Con Atlanta!

I went to my first science fiction convention on a few weeks ago. It's an annual convention known as Sci-Fi Summer Con and takes place in Atlanta, Georgia. What a great time! It was a perfect way to kick off the summer.

Check out their site at sfscon.org and mark your calendars for next year. Emerald Rose performed live and really got the crowd going. I am the author of 'The Devil's Apocrypha' (formerly just 'The Apocrypha').and lead two panels. The first was ‘God, Satan, and Science Fiction’ which dealt with how religion has been portrayed in literature and film. The other was a workshop for aspiring writers. I had a lot of fun and so did everyone that attended.

I’ve made some good friends and look forward to next year. They filled me in on other events in and around Georgia that I didn’t even know existed.

Be warned: Klingons abound (and man can they party). There were people dressed in Federation attire and I even got to see a live chase between Agent Smith and Trinity (all leather, she was hot). There were suite parties, a Mystery Man contest, Rocky Horror Karaoke and much more. I was also surprised to see how many publishing houses were in attendance. And the art...literally out of this world!

If you missed out this year, don’t let it happen again! Hope to see you in 2004!
