This is easily the best book I have ever read and I am looking for others who want to discuss it.

The novel is a telling of the more common biblical tales and more. It begins by telling us how God, Satan and the angels came to be, how they came to this universe, created man, etc. It goes to the time of Christ, the Inquisition and ends with a future prophesy. The twist? It is the Devil's story. He is the good guy, and God is portrayed as evil. It is not, however, a satanic novel.

The stories somehow speak to me. I read things in it that I have felt before. The way it talks about us being treated by God as mindless sheep to be used up and then thrown away; how we are and will be slaves until we can find ascension.

The manner in which this book is written gives me a lot to think about. So if it is all fiction or if it has a basis for truth, the ideas put forward alone are worth having a look.

This is an amazing book. Both the story and philosophy are so real and humanistic. I finished it and am re-reading it with a highlighter. The tale in itself is incredible and a great vehicle for the wisdom it conveys.

If you want to read the summary, you can look here (may have to past it in your browser, I can’t figure how to do the links right):
