I'll probably regret this, but oh well.

I've never sold a story, but I've gotten non-paying acceptances. One from flash fiction site antipodean, (antipodean-sf.com, but be careful typing as a porn site has a similar address) & the rest from www.bewilderingstories.com.

Bewildering Stories kind of started as a joke, but eventually has become almost...well serious isn't the right word exactly. However they do have standards now, read their guidelines to get a sense of that. Mostly they want higher level amateur to semipro writers who will send something for fun knowing they won't get paid. I get the sense they need more poetry, long stories(though not novellas necessarily) & core science fiction. Though not too hard as they are for a non-tech audience. Check it out as they explain this better than I. Main contributers so far include HWA member Eric S. Brown, & also The Invincible Spud, Sherry Gray, Thomas R(that's me), John Thiel, Jennifer Velazquez, & more. (I know I forgot very important ones, I apologize to you) Also nonfiction has been contributed by Grammy Award winning singer Janis Ian as well as the previously named Eric S. Brown. Enjoy or not, up to you.
