I thought this version of the movie "Wing Commander" was better than the first. The visual effects certainly made more sense than the original Freddie Prinz Jr./Matthew Lillard movie and certainly kept the feeling of that great game series!

Huh?... What's that?... This is suppose to be about "Battlestar Galactica"?... Are you kidding???

Well then, I did my best to like this remake, really I did. I've even taped it because I'm such a longtime fan.

That being said, I couldn't watch the entire series. I couldn't even get through the first installment without running Wing Commander Prophecy on this computer. The similarities are far too great. I applaud the cast & crew for bravely submitting THEIR version of that (to me) sacred and revered show, but I am looking forward to any LEGITIMATE remakes by Richard Hatch or anyone on the original 'Galactica production team. After all, it's their legacy and this version feels somehow polluted to us diehards!!!

If only they had based it on the Wing Commander universe, I'm sure it would have been wildly successful.
