I've noticed only 2 and a half humans in Disney's The Treasure Planet: the protagonist, his mother and a cyborg. Despite all mixtures of classic story and sci-fi, this weird cast of characters makes me think that it's not strange that Jim Hawkins hasn't fallen in love with some brave heroine as other Disney's heroes have done. What do you think? This was on purpose?
