Didn't anybody feel like wanting to go to sleep in the middle of the movie? Like when Captain Picard has the interview with his clone and it drags on and on with no end. I thought the movie would have been appealing if the clone was actually a chameleon. When I saw the commerical, I thought he was a shape shifter, because his face turned into Captain Picard. I was like how cool, a mastermind with universal powers who wants to destroy earth, this guy's like another "Q" maybe the movie will be my worthwhile. How disappointed was I when seeing the film and discovered the bad guy was just a puny little human who wore a costume too majestic for his ego and morality. The only thing that made him big and large was his masssive starship. Then of course Captain Picard is captured, he has probably been taken by the enemy more than any other Star Fleet captain to boot. The ending sucks, although the star fight was pretty cool, but such space conflicts occur in all of the Star Trek movies. Of course even the new Enterprise is almost destroyed to smitherens, I don't know how many Enterprises have met the same fate. I was actually happy the new Enterprise was riddled by phaser hits and photon torpedo explosions, because the movie gave me no time to become attached to it. It was just another piece of flying garbage to me. On the other hand, Star Trek Generations, with the destruction of the awesomely constructed Enterprise NCC-1701 D, sent shivers up my spine and tears began to dwell in my eyes. Why couldn't the new starship, NCC-1701 E, been a replica of the last one? The new one sucks and looks pretty corney.
