Actually what you were probably doing was remembering some of the articles about the movie around the time of its first release. The scene was cut by RS because he felt it messed up the timing of the end of the movie and never made it to the theaters.
It was mentioned in soem of the articvles about the movie though and stills from it were released.
I'm actually having mixed feelings about seeing the new release. Its one thing when a director puts their original vision that the studio cut back together. Its often better.
But here, Ridley Scott is sayinbg to us "Oh. I took it out but now I think it was a mistake." One has to wonder if he *really* feels that way or if this is just a cynical ploy to sell yet another round of DVDs.
Frankly I think hes too good a director to have made such a mistake to start with.
