What happens when Wade resists the affections of (I can't believe I'm writing this) a sadistic cabal of all-powerful nerds? All hell breaks loose... for the viewers. The characters, meanwhile, endure such nerd-devised tortures as foot-deep pools of quicksand, offscreen firing squads, and a room full of eerie CGI *triangles*.

BLINKER: I know I've harped on this a million times already, but it bears rebitching about. The carefully plausible explanation of how the Dream Masters simulate dream invasions through drugs, hypnotism and word of mouth is *completely* undercut by the sequence in which they, and the Sliders, AND all their previous victims, somehow share a romp through the Dimension of the Subconscious! KEEP TO THE DAMN PREMISE!

SYNTHIA: I'm going to lower my expectations, and just ask that they come up with scarier "nightmare" effects than a bluescreen backdrop tinted different colours.
