Well, After reading the post Recall made about the DragonCon '97 with Torme, it got me thinking once again about the "lost" footage of Cleavant Actually singing the national anthem at Candlestick park. I knew about all the specifics of course, from what Torme has said, about how it was a real game at the Stick, Giants-Braves, with a crowd of 40,000. So I knew since the pilot was filmed in 1994, it had to be during that season. Without even knowing when they filmed it, I assumed the Spring, I decided just now to find the box score. I had been actually looking for the website that has all these great MLB box scores. Many sites only go back a couple years, but then I RE-found this one.

Great Site for baseball fans. I can re-remember what happened at all the yankees games I've been too, all I need is the date. Anyway, I think this is most surely the game because 94 was the miserable strike season, and the giants hosted the braves only ONCE all year, May 30-June 1. This was Monday-Wednesday series, tuesday and wednesday were night games, drawing less than 30,000. May 30 was a day game, Memorial Day I assume, and the crowd was just about 40K. The game lasted 11 innings and the braves won.
Well, I find it a bit odd that they had Cleavant singing a "humorous" anthem on memorial day, but its san francisco after all. I don't remember seeing anybody actually figure out what the game was, but I could be wrong of course.
