=== GOOD THING, BAD THING: SLIDE LIKE AN EGYPTIAN ===

SYNTHIA: Good thing?

BLINKER: This ep takes a CRAZY lotta risks. They actually *miss the slide* and adopt a new timer, Quinn is actually *KILLED*, and on top of it all, the show actually dares to DEPICT THE AFTERLIFE.

SYNTHIA: Bad thing?

BLINKER: The first two risks are utterly wasted on an episode as stupid as this. Honestly, they spent more time showing off that ridiculous CGI scarab than they did on the consequences of either. And the afterlife? GACK. A fog-clouded field with perpetually ringing bells? I get the feeling all that stopped Peck from dressing Dad and Son in halos and wings and sticking 'em on a cloud was the budget.

THIRD SEASON EXECUTIVE PRODUCER DAVID PECKINPAH: Dingdingding!

SYNTHIA: And you could've done better?

BLINKER: 7>:-# yeah! I would've put them in their house, or some other location that held personal meaning to them. And then use some wacky camera filter like extra glow or a fisheye lens to indicate that all this is Bizarre, Otherworldly and Symbolic.

THIRD SEASON EXECUTIVE PRODUCER DAVID PECKINPAH: Oh, like anyone would've gotten THAT. I mean, couldn't you AT LEAST include the bells?!

SYNTHIA: Good thing: in a stunning departure, the new vortex is golden-hued. Bad thing: in an even more stunning departure, the gold is gone within a week.

CALLIE21V: Hey, I only lent the vortex my hair dye on a *trial* basis. If it's too cheap to get its own, tough zucchinis!

BLINKER [turns to BBoard audience]: Your go...
